Construction:
Built 1988. Heavy full Displacement (14559LBS) long keeled G.R.P Ketch. High ballast ratio (6,500lbs) Built by Northshore Yachts.
Rig: Ketch.
Usually configured as a masthead ketch, offering versatile and easily manageable sail plans, particularly for small crews or solo sailors.
- Mainsail: ~150 sq. ft. (13.9 m²)
- Genoa/Jib: ~125 sq. ft. (11.6 m²)
- Mizzen: ~55 sq. ft. (5.1 m²)
Engine Room:
In her very clean and ship shape engine bay you will find a New Beta 35hp Diesel engine professionally installed in 2016, complete with her new Beta control panel offering Oil, water, ignition, charging alarms. Deep sea seal gland system provides for replacing the old gland packing system previously fitted. Raw water cooling with vetus type water strainer. Myclew bilge water filter system.
Mains Electrics:
Shorepower provision via the portside cockpit, consumer unit & several single & double outlets to the saloon.
12V Electrics:
Ships 3 position isolator below helm. 1 x 100amp hr house battery, 1 x 80amp hr start battery in secured Battery box. 1 x single cigarette type 12v outlet to helm (converted to USB plug) “press to reset” fuse protection to 8 gang switch panel for Windscreen wiper to port side screen (Helm) Fresh water pump, Bilge pump, Electronics, Navigation lights, Deck lights, anchor light, accessory. 12v lighting to saloon, forecabin & heads.
Electronics:
Auto pilot, Furuno 6 mile range radar, Garmin GPSmap 550 chartplotter, NASA Target depth sounder, Kelvin Hughes V.H.F. radio (non DSC)
Galley:
To starboard with innox sink, pressurised hot and cold running water. Plastimo Neptune 2500 Gimballed gas stove with two burner hob, oven & grill. Note: 2 x 4.5kg propane gas cylinders located in locker to starboard side of cockpit.
Saloon:
L-shaped saloon seating to portside & good stowage beneath seating. PVC upholstered seating & small pedestal mounted table. (No in-fill cushion) Quarter berth to starboard side beneath large chart table. Loose fitted cool box. Vinyl covered panelled deck head lining. Eberspacher central heating (not tested)
Forecabin:
V-berth arrangement, carpeted cabin sides & vinyl covered panelled deck head, good stowage beneath berth, access to anchor locker to forward bulkhead. 12v reading lights.
Heads:
To portside. Fitted with Jabsco manual toilet to stainless steel base unit, Functional 3/4 raw water inlet valve & 1″1/2″ outlet. Wash hand basin with pressurised hot & cold water, shower with sump pump to cabin sole.
Wheelhouse:
Acrylic sliding sun roof to wheelhouse. Sliding opening windows to alloy frames. Linear starboard pvc covered upholstered seat to starboard side & good stowage beneath (engine service spares/ fastenings/spare hoses etc… drop leaf style helm seat & excellent access to engine bay.
On Deck:
Superstructure provides for liferaft storage, Dorade style deck ventilators, Treadmaster deck panels provides for non slip to her spacious side decks, cockpit with teak seating rails, Full safety rail with stanchions / pvc coated stainless steel guard rail wire with pelican type gate fittings to port & starboard of cockpit.
Cockpit:
Stern locker houses rudder stock / Helm indicator, Myclex bilge water filter & spanner, fuel funnel. 240v inlet to recessed locker to port, concealed gas locker to starboard. Double ended stern has a secure stainless steel boarding ladder.
Foredeck:
Manual anchor windlass & stowed handle with approx 60M & anchor link to 15kg Danforth anchor / marked 3/8″ galvanised chain & secured via cordage to solid fastening.
Safety / Fire fighting:
1KG & 2KG Drypowder fire extinguishers to saloon, forecabin & wheelhouse. Fire blanket to galley. 1 x Horse shoe type life buoy.
Brokers Remarks:
- Modest Sailing Performance: While it sails well on a reach or downwind, it is a heavy motorsailer first and foremost. You will need to rely on the engine when beating upwind in anything above a Force 6, as pointing ability is limited.
- Rolling in a Quarter Sea: Like many deep-keeled vessels, it can have a tendency to roll downwind in rough weather, though this can be stabilized by keeping the engine running and mainsail trimmed.
- Interior Space: Below decks, it is cozy and traditional, but the pilothouse can feel a bit snug when accommodating more than two people in inclement weather.
General: All working lines & fenders, various engine servicing spares, oils, fuel funnel.
